From Schenna with panoramic views to the Taseralm at 1,450 metres
The route leads from Scena/Schenna along the Scena/Schenna mountain up to the Taser Alm. The ascent begins at the Taser valley station and runs steadily uphill. At the valley station, keep left and continue towards the Taser mountain station. The ascent varies, but continuously offers impressive views of the surrounding high plateaus, alpine landscapes and the town of Merano. The Taser Alm, idyllically situated at an altitude of 1,450 metres, is the perfect place to stop for refreshments. Away from the hustle and bustle and road noise, nestled in fragrant Alpine meadows, it is a true refuge above the spa town of Merano/Meran.
After a refreshment stop, cycle part of the way back and after about 500 metres turn left uphill towards Gasthof Gsteier and Eggerhof. From here, follow the Taserhöhenweg trail. This family-friendly hiking trail connects the Videgg and Tall areas (Hirzer area) with Falzeben (Hafling). About 4 kilometres from the Taser Alm, trail no. 24 leads down to the Taser valley station. The trail is well signposted and finally leads back to Scena/Schenna.
